Waste processing
Ecorec, which is also part of the international CRH group, has been active in the waste management field since 1993. It focuses on modifying wastes and ecological processing into alternative fuels that are used in the cement industry. The fuels are primarily routed to Danucem cement plant, which can be found in Rohožník and Turňa nad Bodvou.
Ecorec recovers waste that cannot be recycled. At the same time, it contributes to the protection of the environment, as this method is much more environmentally friendly than the usage of conventional fossil fuels.

What we care about the most
We are aware of the heavy industry impact on the environment. Especially with regard to the consumption of non-renewable fossil fuel resources. That's why we see a lot of sense in creating alternative fuels.
We handle waste in such a way that it is as environmentally friendly as possible. And, finally, there are people and their health, which is as valuable to us as nature conservation. Without them we would not be able to close the waste cycle the way we are doing now.
